From the brand

Our Story

YakAttack’s story began in 2009 in a humble garage in rural central Virginia. Our founder, Luther Cifers, was a lifelong kayak angler with a simple mission: build the kayak fishing gear he wished existed. By listening to the kayak fishing community and relentlessly refining our designs, we quickly grew from its grassroots beginnings into the leader – the go-to brand for anglers looking to rig their kayaks with the best gear in the sport.

Innovative Solutions

From day one, innovation has been at the heart of YakAttack. As kayak anglers ourselves, we know firsthand the challenges you face on the water. When something doesn’t work right or doesn’t exist yet, we roll up our sleeves and create a solution. Every product we design is built to make your time on the water easier, safer, and more enjoyable. The result is gear that’s cutting-edge, relevant, and second to none in quality and performance.

Quality & U.S. Manufacturing

Quality isn’t just a goal at YakAttack – it’s a core value. The great majority of our products are proudly designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA. We use the highest quality components and materials to produce some of the finest kayak fishing accessories in the industry. Our commitment to American-made quality is uncompromising – you can trust that our gear is built rugged and dependable enough to last season after season.

Our Standard

Through all our growth, we’ve never lost sight of what matters: our values, our customers, and our love of the sport. We’re not a faceless corporation; we’re a team of passionate kayak anglers who put our community and customers first in everything we do. When we say we put our values, product quality, and U.S. manufacturing commitment above all else, we mean it, and it shows in every product that carries the YakAttack name.

Looking Ahead

We’re as driven as ever to push the boundaries of innovation and raising the bar for kayak fishing gear. Our drive to innovate has made us the partner of choice for leading kayak brands – a testament to how our standards have become the benchmark in the industry. Whether you’re a weekend paddler or a tournament pro, our promise remains the same: YakAttack will always have your back on the water, with innovative, high-quality gear you can trust.
