3020c Bookshelf Speakers – Pair

If you want scale in your sound but not in the size of your loudspeaker cabinet, you want the new 3020c standmount speakers.

It’s ready and able to let you experience all the power and dynamism of your favourite music, but without dominating your living space.

New ground-up C³ (pronounced ‘C-cubed’) Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass profile ensures superior bass dynamics and smoother integration with the high frequency driver.Based on design principles found in the newest Q Acoustics Concept series, the hermetically sealed high frequency driver unit is mechanically isolated from the baffle, preventing modulation from the mid/bass driver.Low colouration cabinets with P2P (Point to Point) bracing, minimising low-end reverberation to improve the stereo image and soundstage.Boasts a clean and contemporary aesthetic with sophisticated satin metallic driver trims and low profile terminals at the back.Available in four new finishes: Pin Oak, Claro Walnut, Satin White, Satin Black.

C³ Continuous Curved Cone driver

The advanced C³ profile combines the bass performance benefits of a traditional straight conic cone with the midrange control of a flared design. By creating a continuous curve profile, we’ve achieved excellent dispersion characteristics, well-controlled frequency response and seamless integration with the tweeter. Bass dynamics are improved, low-end control is superior, it’s more forgiving of room position too.

Mid/bass driver design

The cone geometry requires exceptional motor strength for optimal performance, so magnets are coupled to the voice coils. They reduce harmonic distortion, as they ensure near-saturation of the pole plate & yoke. The large magnets ensures superb dynamic response and headroom along with bass presence.

High-frequency driver/ Tweeter design

The drive unit is hermetically sealed & mechanically isolated from the baffle to prevent internal pressure modulations from within the cabinet and from the adjacent C³ driver. The inner chamber is vented for lower distortion, and has a lower crossover point for seamless integration.

P2P (Point to Point) bracing

Q Acoustics P2P (Point to Point) bracing used throughout the 3000c series supports the parts of the enclosure that need to be stiffened making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid, improving the focus of the stereo image and giving the soundstage more accuracy than ever before.

Low Profile Terminals

Recessed cut-out reduces cabinet noise and allows them to be used near to rear wall. The foam bungs are supplied in the boxes for the ports at the back of the speakers so you can find the optimum sound for your listening experience.
