I got this for my daughter's birthday. She's been wanting a kayak for the last 10 years but because she didn't have a place to store one or transport one with her small car she couldn't get a kayak. But because we found this foldable one, we were able to make her dreams come true. Now she's so happy! She took it out on the very first day that she got it. It was so easy to put together and then just as easy to take apart and put in her trunk after she was done using it. I highly recommend it!

I also have an 8 foot ORU Lake. The Tucktec seems much more durable. I wouldn’t hesitate to take it where I may scrape the bottom of a river or run into submerged tree limbs.
Although I’m a 76-year-old senior, I had little trouble folding it back up even the first time. Based on how thick the material was, I was shocked how nicely it went together. I did find that watching the factory video on opening and closing helped immensely.
The downside for me is that because I am short my paddles hit the side of the kayak each time I took a stroke. I’m thinking that slit pool noodles attached to the side would take care of that.

It took 4 of us an hour to assemble it.
I've been kayaking for twenty years without incident. The moment I hit the water with the Tucktec, I shifted slightly to retrieve my paddle. The side of the boat tipped, and because the side is so shallow, water overwhelmed the boat. Into the water I went. The upside-down kayak fled downstream. I, on the other hand, had to swim in cold, nasty water to the shore and retrieve my boat later.

My son uses this to fish from. It's easy to put together and folds up nice to fit in the back of both a CRV or Civic hatchback. Works well on the water – doesn't leak. It's really a good deal for the price. We purchased a small anchor for fishing so it doesn't drift. He's very happy with the purchase.

This is the best boat in my book easy to set up watched vidio once and had it together in about 3 or 5 minits well made very pleaced so light but very strong well made just love it
