No, these do not produce a chemical cold. These cool you down by pulling heat away from your body through the natural process of evaporation, the same way your body cools itself.
How many cooling beads are actually inside?
It only takes a very small amount of our reusable beads to fill the neck wrap when the instructions are followed properly. In fact, over soaking the beads can cause the seams to burst.
How long will they stay cool?
All day cooling is possible with our reusable neck wraps because of the way evaporative cooling works. Occasionally, re-wet and rotate to maximize the cooling effect.
How long do I soak it in water?
Follow the instructions printed on the package or product. These are guidelines and depending on water quality, you may need to adjust soaking time. Remove from water once the middle chamber is full or plump to prevent seams from bursting.
How to care for your cooling neck wrap
TO CLEAN: Hand wash with mild soap and rinse well. TO DRY: Lay flat and allow to air dry (may take up to 3-4 days). To expedite, place on or near air vent.
