Sometimes No News is Great News
After about 6 months of use, this seat looks the same as the day I bought it. I wouldn't call it comfortable as much as invisible. After my weekly 2-hour paddle, I haven't noticed the seat at all. This is great news – no discomfort, just excellent support. The seat that came with my AirVolution kayak started to hurt my back within minutes. The seat is stored in a shed where the temperature exceeds 120 degrees for many months of the year. I am 5'7", 160 pounds, and 71 years old.

    No surprises. Came on time. Merchandise seems just as advertised. It fit both of our Ocean Prowler 13' and Ocean Malibu Tandem kayaks perfectly. Time will tell how it holds up. I imagine it will last a couple years of frequent use. The storage pouch on the backside of the backrest is a plus.

    I was fairly comfortable testing it out in my backyard for an abreviated comfort and support test. When it comes to testing out items pertaining to comfort, my wife is like the Princess and The Pea. She is very particular about chairs, sofas, mattresses and seats. She found Ocean Motion very comfortable and supportive. We found nothing to squawk about.

    I am not a pedantic, possessions idolator. I/we use our 'stuff' and understand nothing is made to last forever. If this seat last 3 years of moderate to frequent use, I will be satisfied.

    This seat is great — it allowed me to use an older kayak given to me. It mounts securely to the kayak & the straps are easy to adjust — I was quite surprised by the firm back-support it provides. It's still very comfortable after hours of sitting & paddling. The seat arrived quickly — a couple days after order — this was especially fast considering I ordered it during the COVID19 Summer of 2020 when other suppliers were falling weeks behind.

    I got this for my wife to replace the flimsy, low back support seat that came with her kayak. She said it was a game changer, allowing her to spend more time paddling in her kayak without her back getting sore. She said it was very comfortable and supports her back very well. I went ahead and tried it and I have to agree, it's like night and day how much more comfortable and thick the padding is compared to the original seat. Having higher back support makes all the difference for us old folk!

    This is definitely a thicker quality seat. Looked nice and seemed built well. In fact of the 3 seats I bought to test out, this one looked the coolest. Unfortunately, it was the seat I liked the least. It's core is very rigid and uncomfortable to both sit on and lean up against. Other seats have a bit of flex and the back rest will wrap around you for a more secure fit. This one – no way. It almost feels like hard foam block covered with a very thin layer of cushion and then marine grade fabric. Had to return it.

Detachable storage bag included.
Universally designed to attach to most sit on top kayaks. Attaches via four attachment straps that extend up to 22″. Two towards the front of the seat and two towards the back. Attachment points(pad eyes, D-Rings, etc) are not included.
